Looking toward the future

We have weathered a storm like no other. Our nation has endured not only the worse worldwide pandemic in a century, but we also survived an insurrection and attempted civil war. All of this has happened over the mere two years.

And while I am sure many of you felt that this would never end, it will. And Saint Francis Parish is here to continue helping you thru these troubling times. We have not gone away and we have not remained silent during these trying times. We have continued to work to help others in our community with vital services.

Over 2020 we saw our Blessing Bag ministry grow. We distributed hundreds of bags of food and toiletry items to homeless individuals in the CSRA. We provided a much needed ear to those who felt shunned and ignored by society. And we hope that in 2021 we will increase the number of bags we distribute.

We are working to reach even more people with the message of love and acceptance in our community. We are working to revamp our message to the community and will unveil our new parish motto on Sunday February 7 after Mass at our annual parish meeting. We will also discuss future ministry opportunities and ways you can help spread the word of our work in the community.

Make no mistake, 2020 has been hard. But 2021 can be a bright beacon of hope if we let it. But we need everyone’s help to get there.

I ask you to continue to support our parish and our blessing bag ministry by visiting https://paypal.me/saintfrancisparish and making a donation. Together we can make this year better than the last!
