Parish Life
Prayer, mercy, hospitality, and the shared life of a parish rooted in Christ.
Parish Life at Saint Francis
Parish life at Saint Francis Parish & Outreach is shaped by worship, prayer, service, friendship, and the daily work of living the Gospel together. We are an Old Catholic parish in the Franciscan tradition, rooted in the ancient faith of the Church and committed to making the love of Christ visible in the life of our community.
To belong to a parish is more than to attend a service. It is to enter a shared life of prayer, sacramental grace, mutual care, and Christian hope. At Saint Francis, we seek to build that life with reverence, joy, compassion, and peace.
Our Parish Charism
Saint Francis Parish & Outreach is an inclusive and affirming church, a safe space for all people, and a community committed to radical hospitality in the name of Christ. We welcome LGBTQIA+ persons, immigrants, seekers, families, longtime Christians, and those who may have felt unwelcome or wounded elsewhere.
Open Communion and the Sacramental Life
The sacramental life of the Church stands at the heart of our parish life. We gather at the altar for the Holy Eucharist, pray with and for one another, and seek the grace of God through the life of the Church.
We practice an open communion, and we do not deny the sacraments to those who come seeking the grace of God. This is part of our charism as a parish and part of how we understand the generosity of Christ toward his people.
Life Together in the Parish
Parish life includes worship, study, service, conversation, care for one another, and a shared commitment to follow Christ in the world. We seek to be a parish where people are known by name, welcomed with sincerity, and invited into a deeper life of faith.
